A balanced diet is the foundation of good health; too often healthy eating is jeopardised for the sake of convenience, time constraints or our environment; yet making informed choices about what we eat and how we eat can make a substantial contribution towards ill health or better health..

Healthy eating is mostly about balancing the appropriate amount of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fibre and water. However our attitude towards food sometimes needs to be challenged. Making time for meals, eating mindfully and choosing the food that will be helpful to the maintenance of our health are as equally important.

 

Integrating diet and nutrition advice, when appropriate, in the practice of shiatsu and ear acupuncture is aimed at promoting well-being and balance. It can also contribute to the body healing itself and alleviating symptoms  of ill health.
